Parliament gives vote of confidence to the new ministerial cabinet

With four votes in favor, only one vote against and two abstentions, the National Assembly gave a vote of confidence to the new ministerial cabinet, which will be led by the Prime Minister of the Republic, Sander Koff. This comes after several weeks in permanent session in parliament, with a view to the formation of a new government.

Who are the members of the new ministerial cabinet?

  • Juan Cisneros, the former President of the Republic, will preside over the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Social Development, Education and Science and Technology. He will also serve as Secretary of State.
  • Benjamin Pickles, will preside over the Ministries of Defense and the Environment.
  • Addison Dillon, the now former Prime Minister of the Republic, will chair the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
  • Andrew Perdomo will chair the Ministry of Propaganda.

The only ones who will continue to hold their original posts are Jonas Rhymer, who will continue to serve as Minister of Sport, and Rory McPhil, who will continue to serve as Minister of Health. In the meantime, the Prime Minister will also serve as Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage.

 

It is expected that in the next few days a meeting of the cabinet of ministers and government officials will be convened, where issues of interest to the nation will possibly be discussed.
